Please follow these instructions:
To create a Guidance route:
1. Get a route as described in How to Get Directions.
2. Add and reorder your stops as described in How to Add and Reorder Stops.
3. Calculate your route. You can use Guidance for both walking and driving routes. When your route is loaded, it should say "Loading Route."

5. Your My Position icon remains in the center of the screen. The map and directions banner automatically advance as you navigate your route. The distance in the directions banner is dynamically updated.
6. To see the list view, tap List. The steps in your route are grayed as you navigate through your route.
If you are not approaching a turn, you will not hear any guidance.
Please also check the Alert volume:
To set the alert volume (both sounds and voice):

2. Tap Guidance Options.
3. Drag the slider to the left or right to decrease or increase the volume.
