best feature in the new is draggable locations. would like to have an option to put these same locations on my map, but WITHOUT directions, because sometimes i know where i want to go, and want to be able to remember, but i dont know the order in which i will visit them. the reason is, sometimes, i dont know in what part of town i will be when i start my errands. so if, for example, i put 10 locations on the map, i want to see ONLY those locations, but without directions. have the map zoom in to fit all of those 10 locations and the option to print the 10 addresses on a separate page. that way, i can see where they are in relation to each other and see in which order if most efficient to drive to them, even though there are no directions.
another idea, to be able to SAVE my directions so that i can edit them later. maybe i have 10 stops or 10 locations and want to be able to add or subtract to that 10 a week later. maybe i decide i dont need to go to location x or that i need to add location y for 11 stops. even better to have the option to automatically save my sessions of locations/directions. if can save these session locations/directions w a name that would be good. such as client route, or friends route. for example, maybe i want to stop off and see my 20 best clients or friends or whatever, save my list as "clients" and be able to add/subtract to that list since its saved under the name of my choice.
i dont know how many locations one can put in the new mapquest, but sometimes i have 50 or more. so if my above suggestions allow 50+ it would be great.
these suggestions would greatly improve the usefulness.

I was a pretty dedicated Google Maps user until MapQuest added the feature that allowed routes to be developed and then sent to my GPS. I hate MapSource, so this made MapQuest my new routing tool of choice. Now the feature had been discontinued. According to the other posts I'm seeing from bikers, this was a very unpopular decision by MapQuest. I suppose we'll all be required to wait for MapQuest to discover the error of their ways, or see if Google takes advantage and links up with Garmin to offer the feature on Google Maps.

We frequently travel towing a horse trailer and are not allowed on certain roads, such as Parkways.
It would be most helpful if there was a way to request a route that is legal for towing a horse trailer.
Thanks

we've used mapquest periodically over the last several years and loved it.
Routing was great, mileage and times were generally right on, we had no problems using it at all until tonight....
we can't use it because it no longer supports our browser! We're using IE6 and no, we're NOT updating. It works great for what we do and we really dont feel like learning a new browser at this late stage in our lives. To quote an old ranching expression: If it ain't broke don't fix it!
We're really gonna miss you and I'm sure you'll probably miss the thousands of other people who fall in the same category we do. We're used to the browser we use. We can get it to do what we want and/or need. Your refusal to continue to support us isn't going to hurt us a bit, we'll simply find another map service but you and your advertisors will undoubtedly suffer over these changes.
